The WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca Event Is Back

The WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca has announced its 2022 event schedule for another year, and this time, it’s bigger and better.

If you love sports car racing, this is an event you’ll want to make the most out of. With capable premiere partners like Coastal Roots Hospitality handling the catering sector, the event will be far from a disappointment.

First and foremost, the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca is an 11-turn, 2.238-mile paved road racing track used for motorcycling and auto racing. The racing course is best known for its one-of-a-kind turn in motorsport- the Corkscrew.

This Iconic Laguna Seca racetrack started its operation in 1957. Since then, it has hosted various events, including the Pre reunion event, the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar, Sea Otter Classic, and IndyCar Series.

This year, the event will feature the Hyundai Monterey SportsCar Championship and the Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey.

The season will begin with the Sportscar Vintage Racing Associations Trans- Am Spredfast, from the 22 to April 24th, 2022. A week later, on 29th, the IMSA weather tech Sportscar Championship will follow through to May 1st for the Hyundai Monterey SportsCar Championship.

Later, the GEICO Motorcycle MotoAmerica Superbike Speedfest will follow on July 8-10. 

This time around, the MotoAmerica series will not just be a car race; it will also be a family event and feature a kid’s zone.

On July 15-17, the AHRMA Classic MotoFest of Monterey will grace the occasion. This particular show celebrates vintage motorcycles. It will feature an on-and-off competition and other entertainment activities such as cycle corrals, live music, and more fun activities.

It doesn’t end there. There will be more fun activities till the end of the event, which will be on October 14th-16th.
